Luftonic has announced their medical-grade purifiers called the LC 8 Series Plasma Air Purifier.

Luftonic said the purifier runs with a “monastic silence” and can kill 99.99% viruses, bacteria, and other ultra-fine particles. This also extends to pollen, dust, mites, other microscopic entities, and, according to Luftonic, even odor.

Like other air purifiers, Luftonic utilizes HEPA filters. Though with the LC 8 Series Plasma Air Purifier claims to be using an eight-stage filtration technology, which includes sterilization of viruses and bacteria.

Luftonic promises their HEPA filters are heavy-duty and washable for cheaper and easier maintenance. Luftonic said these filters remain effective for four to six months.

The standard for Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) is 300m3/hr and the LC 8 Series Air Purifier has a CADR of 600m3/hr. The range extends to 100sqm and runs between 25-35 watts.

Luftonic Air Purifier is equipped with LED UVC Lamps, High-Voltage Plasma Field, which generates 20,000 to 40,000 volts with the aim to destroy viruses and bacteria, and Negative Ions that is said to sterilize the air inside your space.

“We brought in this state-of-the-art Luftonic Air Purifier to be of service to Filipino doctors and hospitals throughout the country,” said Luftonic Philippines President Aldrin Derrick Chua. “We understand that the COVID-19 virus is very deadly with significant numbers succumbing, that’s why we are giving it to our frontliners almost at cost and have donated several units as well. We will continue playing our role to stop this pandemic and help bring the country back to its feet!”

Luftonic LC 8 Air Purifiers are now available through MC Home Depot, Wilcon Depot, and regional partners.
